Jaymunda In Recent News

August 9, 2008 - Jaymunda Helps Asheville Area Small Businesses Grow Through Technology

These days technology can play an integral role in the success of small businesses. Simply having an effective website can increase not only local business, but help small businesses expand to other audiences. Jaymunda (www.Jaymunda.com), a marketing and Web technology company headquartered in Asheville, is helping the small business community thrive through a better understanding and use of technology, from Web design to Internet marketing.
When small businesses work together, they can often devote more resources to helping each other learn and grow than individual professionals could. Asheville-based Web technology company, Jaymunda, serves as an example. Jaymunda has anaverage team of seven to ten professionals working on a client’s project, depending on the scope. The team environment means that small business owners have not only faster turnarounds on site development and other projects, but also access to experts in each niche area of their project to ask questions and learn from the experience. Jaymunda works not only with clients, but also with members of the community, educating Asheville entrepreneurs about the role of technology in small business success.

“Asheville is not a large city like Charlotte and other cities, so small businesses working together [are] very important for the Asheville economy,” says Patrick Lublin, owner of KIST Computer Services. Lublin understands the effect technology can have on small business growth. “If you do not keep up with changing technologies, you could miss something very valuable for your business. Websites are always the best way to capture someone's interest as long as the site is geared for the customer and not your company. Consider how many people search the Internet and cannot find what they want. Search engine optimization helps find the history of words that people use when searching. When you create the website around these words, it allows people to find information they want.”

Web design and technical search engine optimization are just two of the services offered by Jaymunda’s team, helping other small businesses better understand how the Web can lead to more local as well as non-local business through targeted traffic to an effective website. Jaymunda’s own recent growth and expansion to a second office in the Atlanta area gives them insight into the role small businesses can play in the local economy, and helps the team focus on the similar growth potential of their area clients.

Small businesses are the backbone of economic growth,” says Katrina Bragg of area administrative services business Task Mania. “Being able to share different experiences between small businesses is a significant way to be successful. Jaymunda has created standards in ways to understand the specific needs of small businesses, and they are able to project growth. They also have the insight to see growth potential, and can build your website with this growth in mind.”

June 10, 2008 - Jaymunda Expands, Helps other Local Businesses Grow

Asheville-based marketing and Web technology company Jaymunda (www.Jaymunda.com) is helping other local businesses thrive and grow through small business education following their own recent expansion, opening a new office in the Atlanta area in the Fall of 2007.

Asheville, NC – June 10, 2008 – Local web development and Internet marketing company, Jaymunda (www.Jaymunda.com), is nearing its four-year anniversary while actively promoting economic development in Asheville through a focus on entrepreneurs. After the company’s own recent growth and expansion with a second office opened in the Atlanta area, Jaymunda is working to help other small and medium-sized businesses succeed through new technology education.

Jaymunda has been involved in small business education in Asheville by teaching classes through an affiliation with A-B Tech’s Small Business Center / Incubator, as well as their past event “So You Have a Website… Now What?” which was attended by over 60 community members and small business owners.

Jaymunda’s contributions to the community haven’t gone unnoticed. “We appreciate Jaymunda’s participation in our Professional Services office to provide pro bono time for clients of our center,” says Russ Yelton, Executive Director of Entrepreneurial Ventures and Business Incubation for A-B Tech. “It is professionals such as them who give of their time back to the community that makes the Asheville business market a special place to be.”

Nearly every small business has the potential to grow if they can harness the power of a truly effective Web presence. “Websites have come a long way over the last several years,” says Jason Syzdek, President of Jaymunda. “Websites offer tools and capabilities many small business owners aren’t even aware of, such as the ability to more directly interact with their customers. It doesn’t matter if you’re an artist, an online business, or even a consultant - having a website should be looked at as a necessity and not just an option at this point in time. Websites are just as effective in building more local business as they are in expanding to new markets nationally or even internationally.”

While small towns can feel “invaded” by large corporations setting up chain stores or offices, Jaymunda serves as an example of small business biting back. They expanded from Asheville to Atlanta while still staying true to their local roots, focused on helping other Asheville entrepreneurs do the same.

“At Jaymunda, we believe we have a duty to help educate local business owners in a way that they can better understand how technology, design, and Internet marketing combine to lead to growth, both on an individual basis as well as economic growth in the community,” says Syzdek. “Small businesses shouldn’t fear corporate growth into their towns. We have the ability to help them reach local customers by using technology in ways that can help to level the playing field.”

In addition to classes and events in the community, Jaymunda offers free marketing tips, tools, and downloads for entrepreneurs at www.Jaymunda.com.

June 2, 2008 - Small Businesses Work Together to Maintain Asheville's Character and Help Local Economy

Asheville’s small businesses, such as marketing and Web technology company Jaymunda (www.Jaymunda.com,) help to maintain the city’s character and atmosphere by working together to build a strong business community. Strong small businesses are ones that will stick around, supporting the local economy for years to come.

Asheville, NC – May 16, 2008 – While other cities and towns across the country are feeling overrun by development and major corporations moving in, Asheville’s small businesses are thriving and helping to keep the charm and community feel of the city by working together. Local Web development and Internet marketing company, Jaymunda (www.Jaymunda.com), is a prime example – helping other area small businesses make the most of new technologies through education and Web-based services.

“Asheville’s small businesses all have something to offer the community or to each other,” says Jaymunda’s Co-owner and Vice President, Heather Syzdek. “These entrepreneurs are real members of the community themselves, and they’re a part of the local culture. By working together towards growth, Asheville’s business owners help to support the local economy while ensuring their own stability. Jaymunda tries to do its part by educating area entrepreneurs about technologies that can help them succeed in the local market or expand beyond it, as our company did last year by expanding to a second office in the Atlanta area. Strong small businesses are good for Asheville as well as good for the owners.”

Jaymunda and the company’s clients serve as an example of the power of word-of-mouth – referrals and cross-promotional opportunities are always available, and they can help any type of small business succeed. “When small businesses thrive, it builds confidence within the members of the community who can build bonds with local entrepreneurs in ways that corporate chain stores can’t compete with,” says Syzdek. “Our tight-knit community feel isn’t of concern to large corporations opening stores and offices anywhere they can make a buck, but small business owners are residents, neighbors, and friends.”

In addition to helping local small businesses build a Web presence and market themselves online, Jaymunda has actively worked to educate members of the Asheville community about small business technology issues by teaching classes through A-B Tech’s Small Business Center.

In addition to classes for local entrepreneurs, Jaymunda offers free marketing tips, tools, and downloads at www.Jaymunda.com to help small business owners make better use of Web-based technologies.

October 25, 2007 - Jaymunda Web Design Opens Marietta Office to Educate and Build Local Relationships

Atlanta, Georgia—Jaymunda, an Asheville based web design and Internet marketing company, recently opened a branch office in Marietta, Georgia. This office will allow the Jaymunda staff to serve community need for technology education and provide the opportunity to network and collaborate with other businesses. Jaymunda’s goal is to provide services and products to small and medium sized businesses in the Atlanta metropolitan region. The Jaymunda team specializes in combining marketing and advertising principles with state-of-the-art web technology. The new branch office is located in the same building as the Referrals4Life, LLC office. Referrals4Life, LLC and Jaymunda have recently announced a new business partnership based on the importance and success of referral marketing. Together, Jaymunda and Referrals4Life will assist clients in creating successful marketing plans and increasing sales productivity.

Jason Syzdek, president and a partner of Jaymunda, builds and expands Jaymunda each year by employing referral and word of mouth marketing strategies. According to current company data, 2/3 of Jaymunda’s client base was generated by referrals during the first three quarters of 2007. “It is a great feeling when your company’s reputation generates the majority of your clientele,” states Syzdek, “Our team at Jaymunda has always focused on striving to provide the highest level of customer service and the highest quality web technology and products.” “It is amazing to know that two thirds of our sales were generated by the satisfied voices of our own customers,” Syzdek continues.

Jaymunda is committed to helping clients understand their web site design and development options and educating them about constant advances in web technology. Syzdek believes a commitment to customer service is the reason Jaymunda has grown rapidly over the past three years of operation. “Approximately thirty percent of our clients contacted us because they were not satisfied with their last web site designer,” says Syzdek. “ Web design firms too often treat the building of a web site as a retail transaction. At Jaymunda we want to review all of your marketing efforts and integrate a web site into your marketing vision. Our projects and campaigns involve much more than simple, one time web design and programming services,” he continues. For more information on Jaymunda’s expansion to Marietta or web site design and marketing please visit http://www.jaymunda.com.

September 14, 2007 - Jaymunda Announces New Business Partnership and Office in Marietta, Georgia

Jason and Heather Syzdek started Jaymunda, an Asheville based web design and marketing firm, in 2004. After more than three years in business Jaymunda decided to expand and open a satellite office in Marietta, Georgia. The expansion facilitates a new joint business venture between Jaymunda and Referrals4Life, LLC. Referrals4Life, LLC is a training company specializing in teaching sales teams to use referral strategies and networking to boost performance. Referrals4Life works with various companies and trains sales staff as small as five employees or as large as five hundred. Together, Referrals4Life and Jaymunda will assist clients who want to harmonize sales efforts with referral marketing strategies. Aligning these two aspects of a business will lead to increased profit, better efficiency and stronger sales productivity.

Jason Syzdek, owner of Jaymunda, sees the newly formed business partnership as a collaborative attempt to bring more financial success to companies in Northern Georgia. “At Jaymunda we focus on all of the different ways to get potential customers to your web site and through the sales process,” says Syzdek, “Referrals4Life also wants customers to complete the sales process but they approach this with sales training.” “As partners, our companies want to stimulate and increase profits by offering clients the tools they need to generate more leads through good marketing, more closings and strong, educated sales teams,” Syzdek continues, “A company often views the sales and marketing departments as separate but related entities. These departments meet in the middle for finance and brainstorming but they don’t create strategies together. Jaymunda and Referrals4Life will help companies teach their sales staff to understand marketing and advertising efforts so they can perform better, make more money and build stronger, longer lasting customer relationships.”

The new Jaymunda office, located at 4994 Lower Roswell Road in Marietta, opened as of August 1, 2007. Owners Jason and Heather Syzdek visit Marietta regularly and according to the Syzdeks the size of their Marietta team will grow dramatically over the next few months. Their office in Asheville will stay open and fully staffed as well. “We are very excited about this new partnership with Referrals4Life,” says Jason Syzdek. “Unlike other web design firms we are marketing experts who understand technology on a deep level and believe in its potential to increase a company’s bottom line,” he continues, “Our technological and marketing knowledge combined with the sales training expertise of Referrals4Life will give companies a unique approach and help them achieve their marketing and sales goals.” For more information on Jaymunda or Referrals4Life, LLC please visit www.jaymunda.com or www.referrals4life.com.

August 2, 2007 - The Statistics Are In, Web Design Firm Helps Episcopal Diocese of WNC Cut Postage and Printing Budget

In June of 2007 Jaymunda Web Design in Asheville, NC launched the newly redesigned Episcopal Diocese of Western North Carolina web site, www.diocesewnc.org. In two months the web site statistics have already proven the site’s potential for high performance. “Our web site traffic has tripled since the launch,” says Alice Keenan, receptionist and web editor, “and the site will cut the cost of yearly postage for us by an estimated 40%. A great example of this is the Dioscean Journal. Previously we have printed and mailed 450 journals, now this is posted online and we only print and mail about 40 journals.” “Our office manages over 60 churches,” Keenan continues, “mailings we used to send once or twice a week are now posted online as well.”

According to web statistics provided by Jaymunda www.diocesewnc.org has gone from 122,997 hits during June, 2007 to 138,077 hits in August, 2007. The number of unique visitors has increased from 1,799 in June, 2007 to 2,888 in August, 2007. Between June and August the site’s unique visitors increased by 1,089 and the number of hits by 15,080.

The Diocese of Western North Carolina web site has many interactive features, including areas for church members and clergy. “One of the most popular features is the interactive calendar, “says Keenan, “Visitors can find event information, registration forms, and directions. Paypal is available for payment of event fees.” “We have been able to post a lot of previously printed information on the web site, which makes it accessible to everyone and saves time and money,” she continues.

Jason Syzdek, president of Jaymunda Web Design, worked with his technical and marketing team to develop the site. “Our goal is to introduce online automation tools and features to organizations through web technology. This introduction is guaranteed to save them precious time and money,” states Syzdek. “After all, humans weren’t born to do data entry. We want to help organizations keep up with the changing times and leave the monotony to the computer” he continues, ”Technology can assist with time management, cost effectiveness, customer communications and marketing.”

June 15, 2007 - Asheville Web Design Firm Jaymunda Launches Interactive Web Site for WNC Episcopal Diocese

In Western North Carolina alone there are more than two thousand active, nonprofit organizations according to the Economic Impact Study of WNC Nonprofits published by the Community Foundation of Western North Carolina in 2001.  Each one requires services provided by companies that are nonprofit savvy and clearly understand the specialized needs of nonprofit organizations.  This month, Jaymunda, an Asheville web design and development firm, launches a new web site for the Episcopal Diocese of Western North Carolina (WNC).  The web site, http://www.diocesewnc.org, is built specifically to manage the large volume of information and data this nonprofit organization wants to make available to its members.  "Our main goal was to successfully transfer all of the information the Diocese wanted onto the new web site and preserve the functionality of the site by keeping it user friendly and easy to navigate," states Jaymunda president Jason Syzdek.

The bishop of the Episcopal Diocese of WNC, the Rt. Rev. G. Porter Taylor, appointed a committee to research, design and launch an updated web site in 2006.  Jaymunda, a team of expert web designers, graphic designers and programmers, was chosen to host and redesign the web site, as well as to work closely with the web site committee members Rev. Gus. Boone and Alice Keenan.  The web site is managed conveniently from the local office of the diocese and Keenan has been named web editor. According to the Highland Episcopalian, a publication of the diocese, in an article written by Eugene Willard "The diocese's Executive Council members previewed the new site at their May 17 meeting and gave it a round of applause as the Rev. Cn. Gus Boone explained many of the site's new features."

The new web site has a wide variety of interactive features to explore.  New search features include a comprehensive search for the whole web site and a search that allows visitors to find a church using the county, city or priest's name, as well as a map with directions to the church's location.  An online calendar, as well as a News and Registration area provides information on events and a link to Pay Pal in order to pay registration fees easily.  The Programs and Activities section offers details for programs offered by the diocese and curriculum materials.  Clergy will find everything they need under Clergy Resources and the web site also has graphics and photos available for for use in bulletins and newsletters. "We are delighted with the new web site," says Rev. Boone, "the functionality of the site is incredible considering the sheer volume of information we needed to integrate." All of these web site functions designed by Jaymunda have streamlined the operations and communications of the diocese.  As a cohesive tool the new web site will better serve the Episcopal Diocese of WNC and the Episcopal community at large.  For more information on web site design in Asheville and Jaymunda's work with nonprofit organizations please visit http://www.jaymunda.com.

January 10, 2007 - Website Design Company Launches New Web Site for Nationwide Heathercare Training Company

Asheville-based web development firm Jaymunda recently launched a new web site for the nationwide healthcare training company, Reality Based Management (RBM). The goal of the RBM web site is to make the transfer of information simpler and more efficient through the use of a CMS or Content Management System.  The site will increase staff productivity and is a tool created for clientele and employees alike.  Phone time for staff members will be significantly decreased. The newly launched web site is user friendly and Jaymunda's state of the art design and look will allow RBM to become technologically independent, advanced and professional.  "The idea," says Jaymunda president Jason Syzdek, "is to empower the client as much as possible."  "With RBM, company staff can administer all content and perform ongoing maintenance," he continues, "Our role is to make additions and help the site grow in the future."

Jaymunda has been in business for 3 years.  Jaymunda specializes in custom designed web sites built to suit the individual needs of each client.  In 2007 Jaymunda plans to launch a number of web sites featuring their latest CMS technology.  This type of online technology makes it possible for any businesses to build a web site that is easily accessible to employees assigned to web site maintenance and updating.  Web sites designed with CMS also offer a higher return on investment since web designers are only consulted when major additions or changes are required.

RBM has provided healthcare training nationally for twenty-five years.  After realizing the need for a modern, technical plan to streamline their networking and registration process Reality Based Management knew a timely, organized approach was essential.  According to RBM, Jaymunda's online strategies will help the company achieve a successful [time management] solution and make 2007 more profitable. "Our mission at Jaymunda is to make marketing and advertising stress free," states Syzdek, "[A CMS is one of the many ways we can customize web sites] to work towards a client's individual goals." For more information on web site and [CMS design] please contact Jaymunda at http://www.jaymunda.com.
